A Liberian charitable organization built on one idea: that a hand held out is worth more than a hand wrung with worry.
Giving Hand Charitable Inc exists to help the visually impaired, the less fortunate, and people living with disabilities across Liberia. We also run direct outreach for teenagers under the influence of controlled substances, working to bring them and their families back to stable ground.
We are starting where the need is most visible to us: Monrovia. As our capacity grows, so does our reach across the Republic of Liberia.
We believe dignity isn't a program add-on — it's the starting point. Every person we serve is met as a neighbor first, a case second.
We believe in being present locally. Our team works from Monrovia, not from a distance.
We believe recovery and independence are possible with consistent, patient support — not a single intervention.
Our Executive Director and local operations are based at ELWA/RIA Road, Monrovia, working directly with the visually impaired, less fortunate families, people with disabilities, and at-risk teens in the community.
Our Board Chairman supports the organization's governance and international outreach from Brussels, Belgium, connecting Giving Hand to the wider Liberian diaspora.
We're building the systems — including online giving — to grow past Monrovia and support the visually impaired, less fortunate, disabled, and at-risk teens across Liberia.
